✨Resource of the week hi✨
Let’s talk about sentence structure
We form sentences with "who," "what," and "where" by placing them at the start to ask questions about people (who), things/actions (what), and places (where), or by integrating them as clauses in statements, like "Who knows the answer?" or "Tell me what you saw," with structure depending on whether they are subjects or objects.
Often children are able to label all of the nouns in a photo but aren’t able to answer the question ‘what is happening in this picture? (i.e. “She’s eating an apple”). This indicates that formulating sentences is a challenge and that's where the "Building Sentences" resource is a very useful and structured tool.
A "who, what, where" sentence builder is an educational tool that helps kids and learners construct detailed sentences by prompting them to add subjects (who), actions/objects (what), and locations (where), often adding time (when) and other details to build complex, meaningful sentences for language, reading, and writing skills. It's a hands-on, fun way to learn grammar, sentence structure, and expand vocabulary using colour-coded parts of speech and prompts.
