Please have a look at this, we are still recruiting for MELLOW if anyone from the clinic is interested, send an email and I can let you know if you are eligible and sign you up.
This is a great chance to be part of some exciting, groundbreaking research into hormonal underpinnings of ME/CFS and Long COVID.

In Case You Missed It: Women are disproportionately affected by and . Yet menstrual cycles and daily hormone rhythms are still largely overlooked in research.

A newly published protocol in npj Women's Health introduces the MELLOW study, a global collaboration between OMF’s Melbourne and Uppsala teams. The study uses an innovative chronobiology based approach, timing multi-omics sampling to menstrual phases and daily biological rhythms.

By aligning hormones, molecular data, physiology, and symptoms to real biological clocks, this research aims to improve biomarker reliability and deepen understanding of these complex conditions.

We’re excited to share a new Nature Protocols paper that our team has co-authored on ME/CFS and Long COVID (the MELLOW study).
The protocol uses a chronobiology-based design, timing multi-omics sampling to menstrual phases and daily biological rhythms to better capture how hormones, metabolism and immune function interact over time.

This kind of careful timing is essential if we want to find reliable biomarkers and deepen our understanding of these complex conditions.
It is not too late to sign up to be part of this exciting trial.

If you ever needed proof of how incredible the Open Medicine Foundation is, just take a look at this recruitment timeline. I’ll let you guess when OMF shared my recruitment material, absolute champions!

A huge thank you to everyone who has signed up so far. We’re officially halfway there. And to those who’ve sent such kind and encouraging emails, I can’t tell you how much that means.

The StudyME registry really does bring together an extraordinary community of people.
