Like many people today, I’ve been deeply affected by what happened in Bondi. It’s confronting, heartbreaking, and unsettling, and it makes complete sense if you’re feeling shaken, even if you weren’t directly involved.
Events like this can stir a lot in our bodies and minds. You might notice anxiety, feeling on edge, trouble sleeping, intrusive thoughts, or a sense that things don’t feel quite safe. You don’t need to justify these reactions; this is how trauma works.
As a counsellor, I want to gently remind you that you don’t have to carry this alone. Support isn’t only for those who were there. If today’s events have impacted you in any way, trauma-informed counselling can help you process what’s come up and find some steadiness again.
I’m currently offering trauma-informed counselling for anyone affected, directly or indirectly. You’re welcome to message me privately if you’d like support or want to talk about options.
If you need immediate support, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14. In an emergency, please call 000.
Please be gentle with yourself tonight 🤍
