🤟 Deaf, hard of hearing and Auslan-using community members can access an on-demand Auslan interpreting service when visiting the Ballarat Customer Service Centre!

The City of Ballarat is committed to creating a more inclusive and accessible community through a trial of the Convo interpreting service, connecting community members with qualified Auslan interpreters in real time when speaking with Customer Service staff.

As we recognise National Week of Deaf People (21-27 September), it's a timely reminder of the importance of accessible communication and celebrating Deaf identity, Deaf culture, sign languages, and the contributions of Deaf people in Ballarat and around the world.

We also offer a range of communication supports and accessibility resources to help people access Council information, services and community life.
