As we move full steam ahead into 2026, we would like to congratulate all members of our community who achieved dual endorsement in 2025, a significant professional milestone.

We often receive enquiries about CPD requirements following dual endorsement. To clarify, holding dual endorsement does not require additional CPD hours with AHPRA beyond your usual requirements. However, you must demonstrate relevance to both endorsed areas through a learning plan and activities, including 10 hours of peer consultation and 20 hours of other activities, with flexibility to allocate consultation hours across endorsements as needed, while maintaining detailed records for potential audits.

This is a friendly reminder that the WA section of the College will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) online next Thursday, 4th December at 6:30pm (Perth time).

Regarding the Zoom details, a full meeting link has been emailed to members. We hope you can join us as we reflect on the year, share updates, and look ahead together.

In addition, the counselling psychology community wishes to extend a warm congratulations to Dr Kelly Gough on his appointment as APS President, a wonderful achievement.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the AGM next week.

Dear WA Members,

As another year draws to a close the WA team wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to each of you for your dedication, compassion, and commitment to the practice of Counselling Psychology.

We warmly invite WA members to join us for our WA Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 4 December 2025, from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM (via Zoom). While we may not be sharing the same pot of tea or plate of biscuits in person, it will still be wonderful to see familiar faces on screen as we connect, reflect, and plan for the year ahead.

We’ll share updates on APS activities and welcome your thoughts and ideas for 2026. Your presence, even through the pixels, truly makes a difference.

🧡 Multidisciplinary assessment and collaborative support for complex neurodevelopmental presentations 🧡

This interactive two hour professional development workshop brings together paediatricians, psychologists, speech pathologists, and lived experience to explore contemporary, multidisciplinary approaches to assessment and support for children and adolescents with complex neurodevelopmental and mental health presentations.

The workshop focuses on the practical realities, benefits, and challenges of multidisciplinary assessment, ongoing case formulation, and collaborative intervention. Participants will engage with real-world case studies, including perspectives from neurodivergent clinicians and clients, to gain insight into:
- The distinct and complementary roles of paediatrics, psychology, and speech pathology in complex assessments
- How collaborative, multidisciplinary assessment can improve diagnostic clarity, therapeutic alliance, and outcomes for clients and families
- Navigating practical barriers such as rural access, NDIS requirements, and ongoing case management
- Integrating lived experience and neurodiversity-inclusive practices throughout assessment, feedback, and pathways to support.

The workshop features interactive discussion, panel Q&A, and actionable strategies for enhancing multidisciplinary collaboration in both private and public sector settings.
