I know this article is in the Herald Sun, so bias aside, but is this for real?

Whilst 👩🏻‍⚕️ health specialists, in particular highly experienced OTs, train and complete further study and are credentialed and are registered with some having over 30 years of building specialist skills so we can assist our clients to live their best lives… some “mate of Dan” gets an 🙄 above wage rate 🫣 for doing 🤷🏻‍♀️ nothing. But specialist Allied Health professionals should not charge reasonable fees?

This is ridiculous!

How about you target these empty bureaucratic “mates jobs” and stop taxing us to death and stop expecting hardworking health professionals to provide our services for free!

How the heck does this Government get away with wasting our resources like this!!

Michael Bublé you gave my mum a few hours of being pain free. She smiled. She put on the merchandise. She sang. She even danced! You brought her joy and filled her daughter’s and grand daughter’s heart with precious moments. Thank you to you and your amazing team. Even the security staff were amazing. Everything better than I could’ve hoped.

Occupational Therapy…

Are we valued by you? 🤷🏻‍♀️(Do you know what OTs are?).

Is our contribution to our community and it’s participants appreciated? 😳(Do you know what we do?).

It might surprise you that some organisations rely very heavily on our expertise and opinion, but question 🙄 our worth.

This year, OT week runs from 24-30 October with World Occupational Therapy Day being held on 27 October 2022.

OT Week is our annual National Week when we celebrate and talk about all things occupational therapy. It enables OTAustralia to 🌟 shine a light on the amazing work OTs do across the community.

The theme for 2022 is 🤩“What OT means to me” 🤩 and provides OTs, their clients, and industry partners with the opportunity to reflect on occupational therapy from their personal perspective.

So yeah… I would love to know… 😔 are OTs worth it?

Yes! Lawyer, mediator … there is that saying of “jack of all trades, master of none”…

OTs are “jack of all trades, master of all, but too busy/humble to embrace it and sing it from the roof tops…” 🤣
