Even we in the funeral industry have to say good bye -

Sixteen years with Milo—
my shadow, my softness, my steady heart.
He’s been there through breakups and new beginnings,
through grief and growth and quiet joy.
He’s crossed borders and chapters,
never losing that spark, that wag, that warmth.
Now, as his sunset gently nears,
I hold each moment like it’s gold.
And when the stars call me home someday,
I hope I return with his kind of grace—
I hope I come back as him.
