Some of the most important lessons in healthcare aren’t in a textbook.

Emilee and I sat down to talk about her placement, connecting with patients and the trust we’ve built with our community.

That trust makes it easier for people to open up, ask questions and tell us what’s really going on.

The language we use is very important. If someone leaves feeling judged or confused, we haven’t made healthcare more accessible.

A thank you to HOPR for gifting us the drinks for our chat.

Three weeks of learning, sharing and a little Melbourne exploring with Emily, a fourth-year pharmacy student from the University of Newcastle.

Her enthusiasm has been a joy to have in the pharmacy. I’ve loved sharing what we do, learning from her perspective and showing her around our city. The future of pharmacy is in good hands.

Part 2 of our MedAdvisor training series!

Back with Josh from Medadvisor exploring more practical features that can make everyday pharmacy work easier.

Sometimes it’s not about needing more technology, but knowing how to make better use of what we already have!

The less time we spend on administrative tasks, the more time we can spend with our patients.

At 13, I arrived in Australia as a refugee from Iraq, struggling to find my voice.

Today, I get to use that voice to advocate for patients, develop healthcare leaders and challenge how we deliver care.

Thank you to Pharmacy Daily for featuring my story in the October Leadership Special Report, alongside leaders helping shape the future of our profession.

The feature explores the experiences behind The Soul of Healthcare™ and a belief that guides my work: clinical excellence and compassion belong together.

We need workplaces where healthcare professionals feel supported to grow, and care where patients feel heard, respected and understood. The way we lead shapes both.

That is the work I want to keep building through education, mentoring and leadership development across healthcare.

Your beginning does not define your becoming.

An afternoon at the MCG with people bringing generosity, purpose and community together.

It was a pleasure to attend this week’s 500 Supporters’ Group lunch in support of the Ruben Centre in Nairobi, helping connect families with healthcare, education and opportunity.

Loved sharing a table with champion horse trainer Ciaron Maher and hearing him speak. So down to earth and great company. It was also a pleasure to meet Neil Wilson, whose warmth made a lasting impression.

Thank you to Patrick O’Brien and the 500 Supporters’ Group for bringing everyone together for such a meaningful cause.

The impact of a community can reach well beyond its own postcode.

What does the future of pharmacy look like as AI becomes part of everyday healthcare?

In part two of my conversation with Wayne Marinoff, CEO of Medadvisor we continue exploring how technology can support pharmacists, improve the way we deliver care and create more time for our patients.

The real opportunity isn’t just smarter technology. It’s using it to build stronger connections between pharmacists and the people we care for.

A new chapter in women’s healthcare is coming.

From February 2027, the National Women’s Health Trial will offer eligible women free consultations at participating community pharmacies for uncomplicated UTIs, starting contraception and contraception resupply.

Where applicable, medicines will be available at PBS-equivalent prices. Free consultations do not mean free medicines. Contraception services will depend on state and territory rules, with further eligibility details still to come.

More accessible, affordable care means more options for women. That’s a step worth sharing.

Save this post and share it with someone who needs to know.
