RUNNING STRENGTHENS THE INTERVERTEBRAL DISCS!
Don’t let anyone tell you that discs can’t adapt positively to load like the rest of the body does 💪
A study in 2017 was the first to show that the IVD can respond positively to exercise in humans. The authors showed that chronic running in men and women is associated with better IVD composition (hydration and proteoglycan content) and with IVD hypertrophy!
