A great day at the Harvesting Health Event in Gunbower! 🌾👂

Nadia and Gavin were out in the Country Hearing Care van, talking all things hearing and sharing information specific to the needs of farmers, agricultural workers and the wider regional community.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the local community, provide hearing screenings and educate on the importance of looking after your hearing.

We’re incredibly proud to see our Ballarat Clinical Team Lead, Kurt Ashworth, representing Country Hearing Care at Audiology Australia’s Connect & Learn session in Melbourne last week. 👏

Kurt presented alongside leading clinicians in the field on “Beyond the Audiogram”, sharing valuable insights into the real-world challenges faced by people with hearing loss. He also joined the expert panel discussing implantable hearing care and practical approaches for clinicians.

It’s a fantastic example of the expertise, knowledge and commitment our team brings to hearing care every day. We’re proud to have clinicians like Kurt contributing to the wider audiology profession and helping to shape best practice in our field. 👂

Hey Gunbower community! The Country Hearing Care van is hitting the road this Thursday 13th August from 10am-2pm for the Harvesting Health Event (HHE), and we want to see you there!

HHE is a completely FREE community wellbeing day designed specifically to support farmers, agricultural workers, business owners, and local families. Taking care of your hearing is just as important as looking after the farm, and we are proud to be part of it.

Alongside free skin checks, health assessments, a free lunch, and great guest speakers like Warren Davies ("The Unbreakable Farmer"), our team will be onsite providing free hearing checks and advice straight from the van.

CHC's Managing Director, Malcolm Comfort spoke with Patrick Reincke on ABC Broken Hill Radio this morning to provide reassurance to the local community about their continued access to hearing healthcare services.
Following the recent news that another hearing service provider will no longer be regularly available in Broken Hill, we are pleased to confirm that Country Hearing Care’s permanent Broken Hill clinic remains very much open and committed to proudly serving the community.
As an independent, locally-focused provider, our priority is ensuring that people in Broken Hill continue to have access to trusted and comprehensive hearing care close to home. We look forward to continuing to support residents with local hearing services for many years to come!
