🌞 EXCITING PROGRESS UNDERWAY! 🌞

Exciting progress is currently underway at the Lodge as our new staff accommodation units are carefully being positioned on their footings. With the sun shining, our residents have the best seats in the house, enjoying the beautiful weather while watching this exciting milestone unfold. It's wonderful to see the project taking shape and coming to life before our eyes!

🏠 Hopetoun Affordable Housing Project 🏠

Yarriambiack Shire Council is pleased to announce the completion of its final affordable home in Hopetoun.

This achievement was made possible by securing $2.8 million in funding through the Regional Infrastructure Fund – Round 2, State Government grant opportunity in 2022.

We look forward to handing this property over to Dunmunkle Lodge to manage in the near future.

Thai International Food Day 🇹🇭

A huge thank you to Emma, Rory and the entire kitchen crew for today’s sensational meal! The Ladna Thai noodles with gravy, followed by coconut rice with berries, were absolutely delicious — fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour. It was also wonderful to see some of the staff getting into the spirit by dressing up for the occasion. A fantastic effort all around!

Carnival Day – 11th June: Residents enjoyed a wonderful day filled with delicious treats including corn jacks, Chicko rolls, hot chips and ice-cream. The afternoon featured lively balloon artistry by Karen Bibby, who kindly provided a special one-off performance just for our residents, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter. This was followed by a variety of fun and engaging games in keeping with the theme of the day. A big thank you to everyone who helped organise and bring this event together!

A little slow sharing this one, but better late than never! A couple of weeks ago, we were delighted to welcome five Golden Retriever puppies for an afternoon filled with pats, cuddles, and plenty of smiles. It was truly a case of cuteness overload! A big thank you to Satine (Lifestyle Trainee) for organising this special visit with her friend Kalarni.

Genevieve Murphy is currently playing the piano for our residents. Her beautiful live piano performance is filling the Sunroom with warmth and nostalgia. As familiar melodies drift through the space, smiles are spreading and toes are tapping.

Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be - sparking memories, creating connection, and bringing joy to everyone in the room. We’re grateful to have such talented visitors who share their gifts and brighten the days of our residents. Thank you Gen!

We'd like to share some photos that were taken at our annual Resident's Christmas Party earlier this month - it was a fantastic day with good food, great company, and a sneaky little visit from Santa who delivered each of our residents a gift. As the clock ticks down to Christmas Day, we now look forward to continuing the festivities and welcoming family and friends who will be visiting tomorrow. Merry Christmas everyone! 🎅🎁🎄

Congratulations to our ‘Employee of the Year’ for 2025 - Ellaine Espiritu Santo! Ellaine received this award for being a dedicated, passionate and skilled Personal Care Attendant who consistently delivers the highest of care to our residents. Ellaine was presented with her certificate of achievement by Clinical Care Manager, Tracy Merrett.
