Today is IDAHOBIT- The International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination 🏳️‍🌈💚

On May 17th every year, we acknowledge that on this date in 1990, homosexuality was removed from the WHO Classification of Diseases. Over three decades later, LGBTQIA+ communities still face multiple forms discrimination. Knowing how to support our LGBTQIA+ friends in community is transformative to making our communities feel safer, more welcoming and supportive! We hope these tips begin conversations about how you can be an ally in daily life.

For more information on IDAHOBIT or information on supports for q***r youth, check out or the IDAHOBIT website: https://www.idahobit.org.au/about-may-17/

Happy IDAHOBIT!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

At the beginning of May, we said goodbye to our amazing Clinical Manager, Adrian, as he wrapped up his time at headspace Miranda!🥺💚🙌

Adrian joined headspace Miranda 4.5 years ago as a PSS Clinician (MHC), where he provided support to many young people and families. Over time, he stepped into the Clinical Educator role, and eventually becoming the Clinical Manager in 2023. In this role, Adrian oversaw the clinical team at Miranda, supporting clinicians and the wider team, contributing to key projects, and maintaining strong and meaningful stakeholder relationships.

We have been so thankful to Adrian for all his work at headspace Miranda and will miss his never-ending support, guidance, humour and wisdom! The whole team wishes him all the best and congratulates him as he embarks on the next chapter of his career!

Thank you for everything, Adrian!! 🙌💚
