Getting out into the community, attending appointments, catching up with friends, enjoying local activities, these aren't small things. For participants, they're everything.

At Essential Nursing, we know that transport is one of the biggest barriers standing between participants and the life they want to live. That's why our vans are part of how we care.

Our team gets participants where they need to be, with a familiar, trusted face alongside them every step of the way. Because every journey matters. And every participant deserves to take them πŸšŒπŸ’›

Everything we do at Essential Nursing starts with a simple but powerful purpose: to bring people and services together to deliver world-class, compassionate nursing care and disability support to every person who needs it.

It's what gets our team out of bed every morning. It's what drives the way we hire, train and show up for our participants. And it's what shapes every decision we make, big or small.

Because at the heart of all of it is a person. With a story, a dream and a life worth living to the fullest. πŸ’™

When the same values show up across every level of your team, that's not a coincidence. That's culture.

Three of our incredible team members, across clinical leadership, service delivery and team management, sat down to share what drives the way Essential Nursing operates. And the thread running through every conversation was the same: the participant comes first. Always.

That's not a value on a wall at Essential Nursing. It's how we hire, how we train and how we show up every single day.

With changes to some NDIS support budgets coming into effect from October 2026, we know that for many families and participants this can feel uncertain and overwhelming.

At Essential Nursing, staying across every update and evolution of the NDIS is part of how we show up for the people in our care. Alongside your support coordinator, we're here to make sure you feel informed and supported every step of the way.

We'd encourage anyone with questions about how upcoming changes may affect their plan to reach out to their support coordinator or visit ndis.gov.au for the latest official information πŸ’™

In disability support, it can be easy to focus on the clinical. The tasks. The care plan. The documentation.

But behind every support need is a person. With a history, a personality, a sense of humour, preferences, and a deep desire to be treated with the same respect and dignity as anyone else.

At Essential Nursing, dignity isn't something we think about occasionally. It's woven into every interaction, every decision and every moment of care we provide. From the way our staff communicate, to the way we design our homes, to the way we involve participants in every decision that affects their life.

Every person in our care deserves to feel valued, respected and seen. That's not a standard we aim for. It's the one we hold ourselves to every single day. πŸ’™

Last week the Essential Nursing team had the most wonderful time at the Multicultural Disability Expo 2026 in Mirrabooka. It was one of those days that reminds you exactly why this work matters.

Connecting with participants, families, carers and community members from all walks of life, the conversations we had, the stories we heard and the connections we made were a powerful reminder of why bridging the gap between multicultural communities and disability services is so important. Every person who stopped by our stand brought something to the day and we are so grateful.

Thank you to everyone who came and said hello. And a huge thank you to Careon Services and CALD Connections for bringing this incredible event to life. We hope to see you all again soon. πŸ’™

When it comes to finding the right supported living home, location matters. Being close to family, familiar communities and the places that matter most can make all the difference to how settled and connected a participant feels πŸ πŸ’›

At Essential Nursing, we have SIL homes across more of WA than you might think. From Metropolitan Perth to Rockingham, Mandurah and up into the Pilbara region, we work closely with participants and their families to find the right home in the right location.
