📢 NDIS changes have started — do you know what’s coming next?
From 27 August 2026, a series of NDIS reforms will progressively change how plans are reviewed, renewed and accessed.
📅 Key dates to keep in mind:
👥 October 2026 – changes begin for some social participation and skill-building supports
💰 February 2027 – unused funding from a previous plan will no longer roll over
📝 April 2027 – the new planning approach begins to roll out
🚪 January 2028 – new NDIS access arrangements begin
ℹ️ The October 2026 changes specifically focus on social, civic and community participation and capacity-building daily activities. Personal care and assistance with daily living are not listed as part of this particular funding reset, although individual plans may still change according to each participant’s assessed needs.
💚 At Prime Garden, we believe good support is about more than a funding category.
It is about:
🤝 Dignity and respect
🏡 Continuity and a sense of home
🛡️ Safety and reassurance
🍽️ Maintaining meaningful everyday routines
❤️ Care that responds to the individual
Whether someone needs assistance with personal care, meals, daily living, companionship or short-term respite, our focus remains on providing care that is person-centred, respectful and responsive to each person’s needs.
🌿 As the NDIS continues to change, one thing remains important: quality care should always start with the person.
