relink) across various communities on the Mid North Coast as well as in remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory. Paula has a history of working in small business and most recently working with FACS (Family and Community Services/Community Housing), where she performed a number of roles supporting vulnerable people with their housing needs. We recognise there is a need within our local communities for tailored support packages for people with a range of disabilities. We acknowledge and appreciate that every individual has a unique circumstance, challenges and requirements and we are committed to ensuring we continue to provide personalised and appropriate support.

**NDIS BILL UPDATE 📣**

There is a lot happening with the NDIS at the moment, so we’re going to do our best to keep our community informed without overwhelming you with information.

**Here’s where things currently stand:**

• The NDIS Bill passed the **Senate last night**, with amendments.

• Because changes were made, it now needs to return to the **House of Representatives** for agreement.

• Once both Houses agree, the Bill can proceed to **Royal Assent** and become law.

• The changes **will not all happen at once** — different parts of the reforms have different commencement dates.

• Some of the bigger areas to watch include changes to **plans and unused funding, eligibility and assessments, provider registration, pricing, claiming and compliance**.

Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll break these changes down **one at a time, in plain English**, as the details and commencement dates are confirmed.

There’s enough confusion in the NDIS space already. Our aim is simply to help our participants, families, team and wider community understand what is changing and when.
