Calendula is one of my loved herbs for many reasons, traditionally used in wound healing and mucous membrane support, used topically and internally. I feel like I’ve been reaching for it a little extra in clinic lately, to really support lymphatic flow in the body.
This is one plant that I used to grow in my garden, not only because the bright yellow/orange flowers bring me joy (herbalist Chris Hafner describes Calendula as “herbal sunshine”) but also because it has so many uses! I still have some dried flowers that I use for tea at home and seeds that I will be planting soon!
