🌈 Morisset Mobile Health believes everyone deserves access to healthcare that is safe, inclusive, and respectful.

That's why we're proud to support Sweat with Pride, a fundraiser raising vital funds for LGBTQIA+ services across Australia.

As a physiotherapist, I am passionate about helping people feel healthy, confident, and happy in their bodies, regardless of their disability, gender identity, background, or any barriers they may face. Everyone deserves the opportunity to move through life with comfort, dignity, and support.

Many LGBTQIA+ Australians experience barriers when accessing healthcare and support services, leading to poorer health outcomes and reduced access to the care they need.

The LGBTQIA+ community is disproportionately affected by gaps in health, mental health, and community support services. Organisations funded through Sweat with Pride help address these inequities by providing advocacy, education, connection, and essential support for people across Australia.

We're taking part because everyone deserves the opportunity to access quality care and live healthy, fulfilling lives.

I specifically went to university to become physiotherapist because I could see how easily those with EDS fell through the medical cracks. I now work with people who experience chronic illness like EDS to improve mobility, function and find ways to support a hypermobile body to get the most out of life.

Our local High School is putting on a Biggest Morning Tea to raise money for cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy. We are proud to help the Cancer Council and our local high school raise these funds! We hope you can join us in standing with our community to support them too.

🌿 Cherishing Moments with Mum 🌿

"When my mum was aging, our walks together became more than just fresh air and exercise. At first, she used her walker, and later, I pushed her in a wheelchair. But it wasn't about the distance we covered – it was about the journey of sensory discovery.

We found beauty everywhere: colors, patterns, plants, flowers, insects, butterflies, and birds. With each outing, I focused on finding little wonders we could explore together. These moments created a deep connection between us, filled with joy and emotional intimacy.

It’s amazing how something as simple as a walk can bring us closer and open our eyes to the beauty all around us. "

🎵 Connecting through Song 🎵
"I was visiting an elderly woman in an aged care home. She spoke few words. I looked for anything I could do or say that would light up her face, bring a few words or a grin to her lips.

One day, The Sound of Music was playing on TV. I soon caught myself singing along, and we moved from activities to taking her “for a walk” on her bedchair on wheels. As we wandered the corridors, I kept singing, making up random words and tunes of my own to begin with. Then she began to sing along too, soft tunes without words, but a beautiful connection through song.

My singing with her was catching on! Singing became a regular part of our time together."

🌺🌼 Loving Presence 🌼🌺

"I visited an elderly client once a week, who wasn’t very verbally responsive. Try as I might to brighten their day, when they remained withdrawn I felt like a failure. Then I remembered that for much of their day they sat in a chair asleep. During their time with me, they had company. Someone loving and kind giving the simple gift of presence.

We’d walk through the building and outside, we’d chat about the art on the walls, I would point out the trees, birds, scenery, clouds, weather, and people walking by. They would look and then make soft noises in response. They told their family that they liked me coming to visit.

I took the pressure off of myself. I wasn't failing them. I was showing interest in them, sharing things, and giving them one-on-one time. I noticed them.

We all want to be seen. Sometimes all it takes are the small and quiet things to create a sense of loving presence. "
