“Can we have a funeral with another funeral home and still have a water cremation?”

This is a question we are asked often — and the answer is absolutely yes.

Water cremation is available regardless of which funeral home you choose. Any funeral director can work with Alluvium to offer this option to families.

Whether you’re planning a traditional funeral, memorial service, private goodbye, or something entirely personal, water cremation can still be part of that farewell.

A few months ago we were lucky enough to be approached by Brand Tasmania to produce a Tasmanian Story about us, and how Alluvium Water Cremations came to be.

This was such a special experience — to pause and reflect on why we started, what drives us, and the unique Tasmanian values that shape our approach. From the beginning, our vision has been simple: to provide families with a gentle, sustainable choice for farewelling loved ones, while honouring both the care of that person and family, and the environment.

We’re incredibly proud to share this story and grateful to Tasmanian for capturing not just what we do, but who we are.
