I loved this book. Katherine May writes with such an authentic and true voice about the inevitable ‘winters’ of life — those times of loss, change, retreat and not knowing what comes next.

I felt inspired by her willingness to be with the emptiness, rather than rush to fix it, fill it or move through it. In fact she percolated in it....

A beautiful reminder that sometimes we don't need to know what's next. Sometimes we just need to let ourselves winter. ❄️

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately 🤍

Life has been full of change — relocating home, heart, mind and clinic space!

So for now, socials have taken a bit of a back seat while I settle in, find my feet and create a new home for Spanda.

Sessions are continuing as usual, and I’ll be back sharing more soon.

The Four Agreements – Don Miguel Ruiz

I read this book many years ago and it holds a special place in my heart. It's one of those books whose ideas somehow become woven into the way you think and live.

The premise is beautifully simple—four agreements we can make with ourselves that invite greater freedom, awareness and peace. Simple, of course, doesn't necessarily mean easy!

I've returned to its wisdom many times over the years, both personally and in my work. It's a beautiful reminder of how much can shift when we become more conscious of the beliefs, assumptions and patterns we're living from.

It's not only on my bookshelf, but also a visual cue, list of the 4 agreements on my fridge 😉

Healing Collective Trauma– Thomas Hübl

One of the things that fascinates me most in clinic is how often themes emerge that don't seem to belong solely to the person sitting in front of me. Family patterns. Unspoken loyalties. Emotional burdens that appear to have travelled quietly through generations.

Thomas Hübl explores this beautifully. He suggests that trauma doesn't exist only within individuals—it can also be carried through families, communities and cultures, until someone has the capacity to consciously meet it.

What I find especially powerful is his exploration of collective healing. Rather than seeing healing as something we must do alone, he describes how being deeply witnessed and safely "held" within a group can create the conditions for old patterns to soften, integrate and transform. There is something profoundly human about healing in connection with others.

My thoughts: This book stretched my understanding of trauma beyond the individual and invited me to think more deeply about our interconnectedness. It's one I've returned to more than once, and each time I discover another layer.
