We're thrilled that Ramsay Health Care has been named Principal Partner of one of the region's largest and most influential sporting organisations - the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League - through to the end of the 2027 season 🏉

The partnership will create new opportunities for collaboration between Ramsay clinicians and local clubs, supporting education and health initiatives that encourage injury prevention, wellbeing and early access to appropriate care.

"Healthy communities aren't built in hospitals alone," said Ramsay Health Care Bayside Manager Austin Wills. "They're built on sporting fields, in clubrooms and through the volunteers, players and families who bring local clubs to life every week."

We're proud to announce that Mako robotic-assisted shoulder replacement is now available here at Beleura Private Hospital, joining our established Mako knee and hip programs.

After seven years using Mako for knee replacements, Beleura is now one of the first hospitals in Victoria to offer this advanced, robot-assisted technology for reverse shoulder replacements. To support growing demand, we've also welcomed a second Mako robot to our theatres.

Leading this work is Mr Andrew Weber, recently elected President of the Victorian Shoulder and Elbow Society and one of the first surgeons in Victoria to perform reverse shoulder replacements using Mako.

"The technology for planning joint replacements has evolved dramatically," Mr Weber said. "We now use dynamic 3D modelling to optimise positioning for the best possible range of movement, and with Mako guidance, the accuracy of carrying out that plan is optimised too. The aim is always to improve patient function and the longevity of joint replacements."

It's all part of our commitment to quality care close to home, bringing the latest techniques and technology to our community.
