Over the past two years, we've had the privilege of working alongside Aberlea Inc., a community-owned aged care and seniors living provider in Mortlake and Timboon, helping shape one of the most exciting transformation journeys in regional aged care.

Together we've developed a Strategic Masterplan, expanded Retirement Living, supported significant organisational reform, strengthened governance and helped position Aberlea for its next chapter of growth.

Following a successful Board renewal program in 2025, Aberlea is now seeking to appoint a DIRECTOR โ€“ FINANCE & INVESTMENTS to complete its Board capability framework.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced finance leader to provide strategic financial leadership, chair the Finance & Investment Committee and help guide the long-term sustainability of a progressive community-owned organisation.

Experience within the aged care sector is highly regarded, although strong candidates from health, community services or broader commercial finance backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

If you believe aged care can be better and would like to use your financial expertise to make a genuine community impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Day 3 (Final day) of the Lady Aberleaโ€™s Adventures ๐Ÿ™‚

After 3 fun-filled days of soaking up the sun, exploring The Phillipines and Japan, and having just the best time, the Lady Aberlea docked at Port Mortlake.

The passengers and crew all reported that it had been a trip to remember, with many adventures along the way.

During the morning of Day 3, the passengers and crew sung and danced together on the deck - much merriment was had; the ship resounded with laughter ๐Ÿ™‚

We will make several posts with photos from Day 3 - there are so many!

Day 2 of the โ€œLady Aberleaโ€™sโ€ adventures on the high seas ๐Ÿ˜€

Day 2 (Monday) saw the ship dock in Japan, where excited passengers and crew disembarked for a day of immersion in cultural experiences.

Passengers were treated to a sushi making display, as well as a tasting of their wonderful creations.
Passengers later enjoyed Japanese style Beef or fish for lunch - delicious!
We were even lucky enough to visit Japan on the same day that a sumo wrestling championship was taking place! ๐Ÿ˜€
(thankyou Raylene and David, we have never laughed so much! ๐Ÿ˜€)

We hope you enjoy these photos from Day 2.

Stay tuned tomorrow, where we will post even more photos and videos of the adventures of the Lady Aberlea! ๐Ÿ˜€
