You think you’re teaching your child a calming tool… and then they casually come up with a new regulation idea and explain emotions better than most adults 🦋
Butterfly breathing gives children gentle movement, rhythm and proprioceptive input, supporting body awareness and helping them notice what they’re feeling.
But what I loved most was hearing her come up with her own version:
Breathe in the feeling.
Talk about it.
Then breathe it out.
teaching children that feelings can be noticed, expressed and moved through their body helps build their tool kit (and ours).
And apparently Miss Moo is ready to take over my job 😂
Save this one to try with your child later 🦋
