This month is a great reminder for men to take charge of their health and start the conversation about prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting Australian men, and early detection can make a significant difference. If you’re over 50, or over 40 with a family history, speak with your GP about your individual risk and whether testing is right for you.
💉 Prostate health can be checked with a simple blood test. The PSA blood test is one of the tools GPs can use to assess prostate health. If you’ve been putting off a prostate check because you’re worried about an examination, talk to your GP about what testing is appropriate for you.
Don’t ignore changes such as difficulty urinating, needing to urinate more often or unexplained discomfort.
A simple conversation today could help protect your health tomorrow.

🔸 Be aware of unusual bleeding, discharge or persistent pelvic pain.
🔸 Keep up to date with your cervical screening.
🔸 Many people are eligible for a simple self-collected swab — speak with your GP to see if it’s right for you.
We also offer Bulk Billed Cervical Screening Clinics fortnightly. If you’re due for your screening, book an appointment with our friendly team.
