You're invited to a FREE Inspiring Community Event for anyone focused on living and ageing well and for people living with dementia or caring for someone with dementia.

🎬 See Human Forever, a powerful documentary that follows Dutch care innovator Teun on a global mission to improve the lives of people living with dementia. Having spent several years living alongside residents in a secure nursing home dementia ward, Teun takes his advocacy beyond the Netherlands to explore how different countries support people with dementia.

Over a three-year journey spanning four continents and 11 countries, he and filmmaker Jonathan de Jong investigate innovative approaches to dementia care, challenge traditional models, and highlight opportunities to create more dementia-inclusive communities.

Please join us in welcoming our new full time doctor, Dr Germán Ochoa, to our community. He starts consulting at Mount Compass Medical Centre next Monday the 31st August. He is welcoming new and existing patients and has written this introduction for you:

"I am a GP who enjoys getting to know my patients and supporting them over time. I like encouraging people to take an active role in their own health, and I enjoy working together to help keep them well. My main interests are preventive care, chronic disease management and minor procedures.

I originally trained and worked in Venezuela, where I also completed specialist training in Urology. I later moved to Spain, where I completed my specialist training in Family and Community Medicine and have been working as a GP.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, exploring new places, spending time with family and friends, and getting outdoors whenever I can."

Dear Community, we have three wonderful doctors who are all open to receiving new patients. Dr Nanije Vala is here five days/ week, Dr Cephy Camoens is here one day/ week and Dr Ginette Kremmidiotis is here one day/ fortnight. We also have a full time male doctor coming to join us in July /August - watch this space.

Just a quick note to let you all know that Dr Cephy Camoens is back on deck and can bulk bill pensioners, health care card holders and children 15 years and younger. You can make an appointment via hotdoc or by ringing us on 8556 8365. Also, she is now an Aussie citizen so let's help her celebrate.

Please join us in welcoming Dr Ginette Kremmidiotis to Mount Compass Medical Centre. Some of you may know her from when she consulted in McLaren Vale. Ginette graduated from Flinders University School of Medicine in 1991 and completed her surgical residencies at Flinders Medical Centre and the Repatriation General Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, completed a Diploma in Obstetrics in 1995 and is an experienced General Practitioner with a special interest in obstetrics and women’s health. We are happy to inform you that Dr Kremmidiotis is joining our practice in a part time capacity. Please ring 8556 8365 to make an appointment to see her.
