From my family to yours, this Mother’s Day, we honour every journey.

To those longing to become mothers, those navigating difficult relationships, those who have lost their mothers, those mothers who have lost their children and to the nurturing mother figures who love and guide others every day.

This day can hold love, grief, longing, and complexity all at once.

Behind the happy smiles there is a journey of loss, grief, fear, hope and joy. Years of disappointment trying to conceive, a 2nd trimester loss, fear that I would not be here to see my children grow and the loss of my mother.

Today, we honour it all.

The joy, the heartache, the resilience and most importantly, the hope.

My mantra as a Chinese Medicine practitioner is to ensure I ‘learn from my previous patient to support my next patient’.
