Today we celebrate both International Yoga Day and the Winter Solstice.

The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year — a quiet turning point as we begin our gradual return to the light. Winter invites us to slow down, rest, reflect, and gather ourselves before the light returns.

The theme of International Yoga Day this year is Yoga for Healthy Ageing — a beautiful acknowledgement that yoga supports us through every season of life, helping us cultivate strength, balance, mobility, breath, and connection.

Join me this evening at 5pm for a gentle restorative Wintering practice as we honour both of these traditions. Together we'll slow down, breathe deeply, ground ourselves, and create space to receive all that this season has to offer.
