So if you are still sitting on the fence about this incredible transformative event, don't wait! Don't procrastinate. This is going to be an amazing revolutionary 3 hours!
If you’ve never tried Breathwork before this is the workshop for you! If you have tried it before and would like to grow on what you achieved in the last workshop – then this is the workshop for you! I only offer these group Workshops once or twice a year so it’s a great way to try this amazing somatic modality.
Rebirthing Breathwork in the words of Leonard Orr: “merging the outer breath, which is air, with the inner breath, which is Spirit.” That single line is the doorway.
Why is Breathwork, for me anyway, considered one of the most powerful tools I use for Transformation? And when I say Transform - Breathwork will transform everything! Those self-sabotaging habits that seem to keep you from moving forward. That stuck feeling in life, what’s keeping you there? That old trauma, memories, those self-destructive habits – are they really yours? Or are they an adaptation from childhood, that you took on just to survive the tribe, and now they are not serving your best life?
And Breathwork is quite different to Pranayama we use in yoga. Pranayama soothes and calms the body. Its aim is to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and bring you more peace. The aim of Rebirthing breathwork is quite different. It’s good to be calm and at peace (many people use alcohol and drugs to achieve this), but if you never resolve what’s stuck in the unconscious, how can you move forward?
Rebirthing Breathwork uses a continuous, connected breathing pattern. This is intentional and the breathing in an uninterrupted circular loop—without any pause between the inhale and the exhale. The aim is to alter your state of consciousness and allow suppressed memories to surface. Each breath is connected to the last one and to the next, with no pauses or gaps. The inhale turns into the exhale. The exhale merges with the inhale. It is like a wheel turning. You pull the breath in actively. You let the breath out passively. No pushing, no blowing, no forcing of the exhale. You snap it loose and let it go.
Like my yoga practice, which is aligned to the Kriya Lineage, when I trained in Breathwork I wanted to align myself to a lineage which was robust, pure and had lots of studies proving whatever it promised. Rebirthing Breathwork does just that. Leonard Orr, a disciple of Haidakhan Babaji, is where the lineage begins.
But why the word “Rebirthing”? The "rebirthing" part of Rebirthing Breathwork refers to the goal of healing the psychological trauma of one's own birth and clearing deep emotional blocks by using a continuous circular breathing pattern. The practice is built on the idea that the physical act of being born leaves a lasting imprint of fear and shock in the body's cellular memory. Your breath acts as a bridge between the conscious and unconscious, between the mind and the body. As you breathe deeply and rhythmically you increase the level of Pranic energy in your system. Eventually this energy increases to a level where it will start to push out any energetic blockages. These are usually caused by traumas, emotions, conditioning and programming.
The results of several recent studies have shown Rebirthing Breathwork to be effective in depression and anxiety, brain function, and even prenatal problems. It has been shown to release physical, emotional, and psychological tension. So, drawing from the cosmic energy of the Lions Gate Portal, this will prove to be an afternoon of profound change.
