Grateful to Lumenis Aesthetics AU & NZ for the opportunity to attend the Lumenis APAC Summit. The experience has significantly broadened my knowledge of the latest clinical applications and treatment strategies in advanced scar management and energy-based skin resurfacing using the Lumenis platform.

A special thank you to 루메니스코리아 공식 인스타그램ㆍ울트라펄스 알파 for organising a valuable clinical immersion with Dr JongKeun Song at pixelab beauty clinic . I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to observe his approach and learn from his extensive clinical experience with the UltraPulse platforrm.

I’m excited to bring these insights back into my clinical practice!

Thank you for the opportunity to present at the 7th Asian Pacific Federation of Societies for Reconstructive Microsurgery (APFSRM) Conference, sharing my experience in optimising donor site morbidity in regional and free flap reconstruction as well as on the multimodal management of hypertrophic and keloid scars.

It is always inspiring to reconnect with colleagues from across the world, continuing to learn from one another and push the boundaries of reconstructive microsurgery together.

Most of all, super proud to see Melbourne hosting the 8th AFPSRM in 2028, and looking forward to welcoming friends from across the Asia-Pacific and beyond to our home.

First conference of 2026

Grateful for the opportunity to attend the Association for Academic Surgery and Society of University Surgeons Annual Conference. Privileged to listen to and learn from surgical leaders and academics who generously shared their journeys and insights, as well as challenges we faced with competing resources.

Their words encouraged me to stay curious, keep learning, keep mentoring, and continue working towards translating research into meaningful impact for patients and the wider community.

As the year draws to a close, Christmas offers us a moment to pause and reflect. For some, it is a time of celebration and togetherness. For others, a quieter season of rest, remembrance, and renewal. Christmas carries a different meaning for all of us, and we celebrate each and every journey.

As a practice, we are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us this year. It has been a privilege to care for our patients, to witness resilience and courage, and to walk alongside so many of you through moments of recovery and healing.

Our wish this Christmas is that the season fulfils the hopes and wishes of everyone, in whatever form they may take. And as we step into the year ahead, let us keep the flame of kindness alight towards one another, within our communities, and in the care we give.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and peaceful festive season, and a positive year ahead.

It has been a truly rewarding year. I am honoured to receive the Dr Geoffrey Gillam Cancer Research Grant at the Mackenzie Dinner, hosted by the Epworth Medical Foundation.

This important grant will support our lymphoedema research at Epworth Eastern in 2026, with the aim of raising awareness around early detection of lymphoedema in cancer patients—because timely intervention can make a meaningful difference in halting the progression of lymphatic dysfunction.

My sincere thanks to Dr Georgia Gillam for your generosity and support of this grant.I look forward to sharing our findings in 12 months.

Feeling truly grateful to receive the RACS Younger Fellow Leadership Exchange Grant for 2026. This opportunity will support my attendance at the Association for Academic Surgery Congress in the USA, where I hope to further develop my skills in clinical research, collaboration, and innovation in surgery, as well as strengthening our academic community in plastic surgery.

Congratulations to all fellow recipients, and heartfelt thanks to the generous benefactors for investing in the surgical community.

Last work trip for the year! ✈️

Grateful for the opportunity to share our research in lymphoedema with the international plastic surgery community through the Global Partner Initiatives at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Annual Meeting.

The PSTM is always a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and explore the latest innovations from medical technology and device companies. Excited to hopefully see some of these new technologies reach Australia soon!
