You don’t need an hour at the gym to help your body feel better.

Small bursts of movement throughout your day can help reduce stiffness, improve circulation and give your body a chance to reset.

Try adding a few “movement snacks” into your day:
• Stand up and stretch while the kettle boils.
• Walk around the office after finishing a meeting.
• Roll your shoulders and take a few deep breaths before jumping back into work.

These little moments all add up.

Your body was designed to move, not stay in one position all day.

‼️ Save this for later, or send it to someone who spends most of their day sitting.

We’re noticing a common trend in the clinic lately…

As the weather cools down, many of us stop reaching for our water bottle because we simply don’t feel as thirsty.

The problem is, your body still needs water just as much in winter.

Even mild dehydration can contribute to:
💧 Muscle tightness
💧 Headaches
💧 Fatigue
💧 Poor concentration
💧 Joint stiffness

Some common hydration mistakes we see include:
• Waiting until you feel thirsty.
• Replacing water with tea or coffee all day.
• Forgetting to drink because it’s cold.
• Not topping up after exercise or being outdoors.

A simple habit can make a big difference.

Try keeping a drink bottle where you’ll see it, taking a few sips each time you check your phone, or enjoying warm water or herbal tea alongside your usual water intake.

Your spine, muscles and the rest of your body will thank you.

⁉️How do you remember to drink enough water during winter? Share your best tip in the comments—you might help someone else.

June is Migraine & Headache Awareness Month.

While headaches and migraines can have many different causes, one thing we often notice is that people experiencing frequent headaches also have stiff, restricted neck movement.

Our necks spend a lot of time looking at phones, computers, steering wheels and kitchen benches. Over time, this can leave the joints and muscles feeling tight and less mobile.

A simple check:

Can you comfortably turn your head to look over each shoulder?

If that movement feels restricted, uncomfortable or noticeably different from side to side, it may be worth paying attention to.

A few gentle neck movements throughout the day can help keep things moving and reduce some of the tension that builds up during busy weeks.

Try this:
✔ Slowly turn your head to the right and left
✔ Gently look up and down
✔ Repeat 5 times each direction

Remember: movements should feel comfortable and pain-free.

If headaches or neck tension are becoming a regular part of your week, it may be worth having a conversation with a healthcare professional.

➡️ Do you notice your neck feeling stiff by the end of the day?

Wild Saturday night over here 😅🤣

While settling the kids to sleep, I managed to sneak in a few minutes of thoracic extension on my foam roller.

If you spend a lot of time sitting at a desk, driving, feeding little ones, or looking down at your phone, the upper back can start to feel stiff and rounded over time.

A simple thoracic extension stretch can help:
• Improve upper back mobility
• Counter some of that “hunched over” feeling
• Make it easier to maintain a comfortable posture throughout the day
• Help your upper back and shoulders feel less tight

It doesn’t need to be complicated or take an hour. Sometimes a few minutes while the kids are winding down is enough to help your body feel a little better.

Is your Saturday night as wild as mine? 😄

Even on rainy days, your body still benefits from gentle movement ☔

Movement doesn’t need to mean a full workout.

On the colder, wetter days, small moments count:
• stretching while the kettle boils
• walking around the house during work breaks
• dancing with the kids in the lounge room
• gentle mobility before bed
• a quick lap under cover at lunch

Staying moving can help with:
• stiffness and tension
• energy levels
• circulation
• stress and overwhelm

You don’t need perfection.
Just a little movement, a little often.

Your body will thank you for it 💚

Stress doesn’t just stay in your mind.
It often shows up in your shoulders, jaw, chest and breathing patterns too.

One thing we notice often in clinic is how many people are breathing quickly and shallowly without even realising it.

A simple reset:
• unclench your jaw
• drop your shoulders
• breathe in slowly through your nose
• let your belly rise first
• slowly breathe out

Even 60 seconds of slower breathing can help calm muscle tension and help your body feel safer and more settled.

You do not need a perfect routine.
Just a small pause during your day.

Try it:
Next time you’re sitting in the car, making a coffee, or waiting at school pickup — take 5 slow breaths.

Your body notices.

We’re taking a short pause over Easter.

Our clinic is now closed for the long weekend, and we’ll be back in the clinic on Tuesday ready to return to care.

Over the next few days, we hope you get a chance to slow down, rest, and enjoy some time with your family 🤍

We see this all the time in clinic —
people worrying about “sitting up straight” all day.

But the truth is…
✨ the body isn’t designed to hold one position for hours
✨ even “perfect posture” becomes uncomfortable if you stay there too long

What your body really loves is variety.

Small, simple movements throughout your day can make a big difference:
• standing up between tasks
• stretching your arms overhead
• rolling your shoulders
• taking a quick walk

It doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just has to be regular.

🌿 Think less about “holding yourself perfectly”
🌿 and more about “moving often”

Your nervous system (and your body) will thank you 🤍
