Recently, we’ve been asking our FSA team members what they enjoy about working with us and to share a little more about the roles they perform every day.

In this video, we hear from Jon, one of FSA’s Critical Care Flight Paramedics within our Remote Medical Services team.

Jon shares more about his background, his experience working with FSA and what it’s like providing medical support to people working in some of Australia’s most remote locations.

One message Jon is particularly passionate about? Don’t wait until something becomes an emergency to ask for help.

For workers in isolated locations, accessing medical care can mean hours of travel across challenging terrain. Having experienced medical professionals available to respond means support can come to them when it’s needed. FSA provides integrated medical support across remote and high-risk operations, including AHPRA-registered paramedics and aeromedical capability.

You guys loved seeing inside our Brisbane Fire & Rescue Training Academy so much, we thought we’d take you back to when Team Ignition came to put our facilities to the test!

Professional firefighter and Bondi Rescue lifeguard Maxy joined us at our purpose built Brisbane facility to experience some of the realistic fire and emergency response training scenarios we deliver.

From live fire to challenging, hands-on scenarios, our academy is designed to create realistic training environments where emergency response teams can practise, learn and build their capability before those skills are needed in a real emergency.

Our Brisbane Live Fire & Rescue Training Academy was in full action this week, with the FSA instructor team putting a mine site Emergency Response Team through realistic, hands-on training.

The team worked through a range of practical scenarios, including forcible entry, door entry techniques and internal firefighting — building the skills, confidence and capability needed to respond when it matters most.

A great day of training with our experienced instructors and another example of our commitment to delivering practical, high-quality emergency response training.

What does real emergency response look like at night...this is how FSA trains and prepares for a real emergency.

This footage captures a Fire and Safety Australia Emergency Response team undertaking live fire training at night at one of the remote sites that FSA supports.

This video shows FSA ESO's using FSA Fire Appliances to conduct training to provide emergency response to a significant fire on-site at night.
