Pseudostrabismus vs Strabismus

Many babies and young children can appear to have a turned eye, even when their eyes are perfectly aligned.
This is known as pseudostrabismus and is usually caused by facial features such as a broad nasal bridge.

Children's Vision: Early Detection Matters.

Did you know many vision problems can be detected in children before they start school?

Conditions such as lazy eye (amblyopia) and turned eye (strabismus) can often be successfully treated when identified early. Regular eye examinations play an important role in ensuring children have the visual skills they need for learning and development.
In May, Glenn presented to Monash Council Maternal and Child Health Nurses about children's eye health and the importance of early detection. Working together with healthcare professionals helps ensure local families have access to the information and support they need to give children the best possible start.
