Dear community, in just 7 weeks we will be together celebrating birth at the 5th annual Birth Wellness Festival at Murwillumbah Showgrounds on August 8th and 9th! A weekend for the Northern Rivers/Tweed birth community to gather, learn, celebrate and support birth.

The Birth Wellness community is run on the love, skill and dedication of a family of incredible volunteers every year, and it’s our pleasure to invite you to join us for 2026.

Whether you’re already a part of the team or looking to join us for the first time, it’s our pleasure to invite you to join us for our annual pre-festival Volunteer Meeting - where we connect, answer any questions you may have, dream up all the beauty together and find the place where the festival needs your genius.

There are a range of roles available in co-ordination in the lead up to the festival (Raffle co-ordinator, PR support, and sound tech) and also key teams on the ground at the event (qualified support for the Children's Kingdom, welcome team, and marketplace support).

All volunteers attend the festival free in exchange for their energy - but more over you are a key part of the Birth Wellness community.

Our Practitioner of the Month is the beautiful Christina Cruz.

Christina is a remedial massage therapist with over 20 years’ experience, specialising in deep tissue massage and myofascial release.

Her passion lies in helping clients reduce pain, restore movement, and support long-term wellbeing.

Having worked in spas, health centres, and as a mobile massage practitioner over the past two decades, Christina brings a grounded and adaptable approach to every session.

Her treatments are intentional, responsive, and focused on creating meaningful and lasting change.

We’re welcoming the beautiful Miriana Rose into our space, deeply embodied, magical woman who holds mothers with such presence, softness, and strength. She is here to gently guide you back into your body after the rite of passage of birth, to create space within yourself, and to nurture connection with your baby by your side.

We absolutely love her and feel so happy to have her sharing herself in this community. It feels so aligned for us to continue the circle of care we hold at Heart & Soul , from pregnancy, to birth, to postpartum, and now into this tender season of rebuilding and reconnecting through movement. Supporting mothers through every transition truly matters to us.

This is a space where you can:
• Move in a way that feels nourishing and supportive
• Arrive exactly as you are
