Alongside my incredibly skills colleagues, I recently had the honour of teaching breathwork for mental health support and trauma recovery.
We offered this to our local women folk at the Well Women, Well Communities Free Health Workshop Series hosted by Huon Women’s Health Collective.
I walked in ready to teach. I didn’t expect to be so moved.
Because so many of us are holding it together, quietly, for everyone else. Carrying, knowingly or unknowingly, what we’ve never had space to put down.
Breathing just enough to get through the day, not enough to actually feel it. That room reminded me that safety isn’t something we find alone. It’s something we build together, breath by breath.
I couldn’t be more thankful for the folks of the Huon Valley, for trusting me with something as intimate as their breath. It was my absolute pleasure to teach and to be taught in return.
This is why I do what I do.
To every human reading this, wherever you are, whatever you’re carrying, however loud or quiet it feels right now, your breath is already yours.
You don’t need to have it figured out to begin.
If you’d like a space to explore that, gently and at your own pace, I offer 1:1 breathwork sessions. Whenever you’re ready, I’m here. 🤍
