Just wanted to share this great post about the importance of Physiotherapy for children with developmental delay and disability - especially with the Thriving Kids initiative that the government is looking to start next year.

STAND UP FOR DISABILITY CARE: Stop the NDIS cuts to physiotherapy

Hi. I just wanted to make everyone aware of the NDIS decision made last week to lower price limits for physiotherapy supports and reduce the travel funding by 50%.

This decision disrespects and devalues our Physiotherapy profession and the amazing work we do supporting all of our patients.

This decision also ignores five years of NDIS price freezes and ongoing pressures of rising operational costs especially for running a high quality small business like ours.

This decision will diminish access to critical care for many of Australia’s most vulnerable people especially children with a disability, creating unsustainable pressure on physiotherapists providing support under the NDIS.

The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) along with other Allied Health peak industry bodies, are calling on the federal government to reverse these changes (further details can be found in the link below).

I am seeking your help to support us by signing this petition (found in the link below) to help get the NDIS to reverse these decisions. Thank you.

FRAME RUNNING - Give it a go!

Frame Running is an adaptive sport leading the way for accessibility and inclusion.

Quinn was the one of the stars in the Cerebral Palsy Alliance promotion of this fantastic adaptive sport program. We encourage all of our patients to be physically active and this is an awesome program for those kids with mobility difficulties that can allow them to be supported to run and have fun!
