Come with us to O-Show Melbourne 2026!!

Tara and Kelita got to experience their first O-Show down in Melbourne over the weekend at !!
O-Show is a trade show that showcases all the latest offerings within the optical industry.
From eyewear to the latest and greatest tech, it was all on show!!

The girls also attended the Myopia Mastery program which was sponsored by and celebrated 's 70th birthday!!

A great weekend all round and a huge thanks to all involved 👏🏼👏🏼

If you wear soft contact lenses, this is a great refresh of do's and don'ts to ensure optimal health of your eyes and your lenses over time.

✅️ Do see an Optometrist to work out what type of contact lens will best suit your eyes and your script. We order in trial lenses to ensure they fit correctly and book you in for a teaching session to show you how to put them in and take them out.

✅️ Do maintain proper hand hygiene when handling your contact lenses and touching your eyes. Wash hands with soapy water and dry with a paper towel. Don't use hand sanitiser.

✅️ Do store your fortnightly and monthly lenses in a clean contact lens case with fresh contact lens solution changed daily.

✅️ Do wear your contact lenses as they are prescribed.
Daily lenses - Replace daily.
Fortnightly lenses - Replace after 14 days of opening.
Monthly lenses - Replace after 30 days of opening.

✅️ Do replace your contact lens case every 3 months.

❌️ Don't sleep in your contact lenses unless they are approved for overnight wear. Take them out before bed to reduce the risk of infection.

❌️ Don't use tap water or saline to rinse your storage case and clean your contact lenses. Use contact lens solution only.

❌️ Don't 'top up' your contact lens solution. Empty out old solution every morning, leave the case to air dry for the day and add new solution at night.

❌️ Don't wear your contact lenses if your eyes are feeling sore or dry. Use your glasses instead.

❌️ Don't share contact lenses with friends or family.

This is Phil, our wonderful Optometrist!!
And yes, he is currently in a sling and will be for a little while longer.
This coming Tuesday, Phil will be heading in for shoulder surgery, so we thought we best give him some time off to recover ❤️‍🩹

This week, our reception will be open Monday through to Thursday (regular hours) with no clinic appointments available.
From Friday 19th of June to Friday the 3rd of July, we will have optometrist Tony Lord in clinic.
Tony will be seeing new and existing patients during this time.
