Part of Ramsay Health Care. The hospital is a part of Ramsay Health Care Group – Australia’s largest private hospital operator.

From humble beginnings in 1942, Hollywood Private Hospital has grown to become the largest hospital in Western Australia and the largest private hospital in Australia with more than 900 beds. The hospital employs over 2000 people and has more than 800 accredited specialists working across a wide range of disciplines including cardiology, gastroenterology, general medicine, general surgery, oncology, orthopedics, palliative care, psychiatry, rehabilitation and urology.

Our team is deeply passionate about providing quality cancer care to the local community, and we're proud that some of the team chose to participate in Anna's Walk - a community fundraising event that's all about raising awareness for bladder cancer patients and their families.

The event reinforced how much our patients value the support from our BCG oncology nurses. Grace, Clinical Nurse Manager of Goldsworthy Ward here at Hollywood Private Hospital, said, “it was so touching to hear the appreciation for joining the walk with our patients."

We are very proud that 15 hospital beds we recently donated to Australian Doctors For Africa (ADFA) are bound for a hospital in Ethiopia.

Partnering on initiatives like this ensures we reduce waste and recycle equipment where possible, rather than having items end up in landfill.

"These beds are much needed," said the team from ADFA, "and Australian Doctors for Africa is grateful for the support and generosity of Hollywood Private Hospital."

Our volunteer team here at Hollywood Private Hospital goes above and beyond to make the hospital experience more comfortable and welcoming for patients, visitors and team members.

Just this week, they hosted a Biggest Morning Tea bake sale and raffle to raise vital funds for Cancer Council Australia.

In recognition of National Volunteer Week, we say thank you to the team for giving up their time to make such a wonderful contribution to the hospital.

We’re recognising the work of our incredible clinical trials team - who have dedicated their careers to bringing hope and brighter outcomes to the patients who need it most - this .

The team set up a display in the main reception area here at Hollywood Private Hospital to highlight their work and the impact of clinical trials across the Ramsay Research & Development Network.

Today we say thank you to the team for their perseverance through challenges and their belief in the life-changing potential of clinical research.

Built during World War II, Hollywood Private Hospital continues to honour our proud history as a military hospital by hosting an Anzac Day service each year, where we remember all those who have served and continue to serve in Australia’s armed forces.

We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who played a role in this year’s beautiful ceremony, particularly the Hollywood Primary School Senior Choir, RSLWA Senior Chaplain Kim Kuchel, bugler Jack Collinson, and our wonderful Volunteer Services here at Hollywood Private Hospital: Cluny Seager, Vicki Lefort, Eric Boon, Maia Annells and Philippa Bartlett.

Thank you to our patients, staff and the local community for attending, as well as Member for Nedlands Jonathan Huston MLA and Nedlands City Councillor Jenny Mathews.

We are proud to announce that we have now completed 5,000 Da Vinci robotic procedures here at Hollywood Private Hospital!

The 5,000th procedure was performed by urologist Dr Tom Shannon, who fittingly holds the record for the highest number of Da Vinci procedures at Hollywood.

We recently acquired a second Da Vinci robot, and are expanding specialty use beyond our urology program to include ear nose and throat, thoracic surgery and general surgery (colorectal and upper gastrointestinal).

Congratulations to our theatre team on this incredible achievement.
