A fertility compassion prayer ❣️

I take a deep breath and invite peace into my heart.
In this moment, I acknowledge my journey, with all its hopes, fears, and uncertainties.

I honour my body for all it has endured,
For the strength it shows each day,
And for the hope it carries within.

I recognise the emotions that rise within me—
The sadness, the frustration, the longing—
And I hold them with gentle compassion,
Allowing myself to feel without judgment.

I offer myself kindness,
Just as I would offer it to a dear friend.
May I be gentle with myself in moments of doubt,
And may I trust in the wisdom of my body and spirit.

I release the need for perfection,
Knowing that I am doing my best,
And that is enough.
I embrace the love and support that surrounds me,
From my loved ones, from the universe, and from within.

With an open heart, I welcome the possibility of new life,
Trusting that the right moment and the right soul will come in its time.
I cherish this sacred potential,
And I offer it my love and care,
As I await the unfolding of this beautiful journey.

In this sacred space, I find comfort.
I am patient with myself and with this journey.
I allow hope to guide me forward,
And I trust that whatever comes,
I will face it with grace and resilience.

May I be at peace.
May I be strong.
May I be filled with love.
And may I always remember that I am worthy,
Just as I am, in this very moment.

This month, we're sharing Diane's book club pick, The Dose Effect by .

Diane describes the book as the perfect antidote for cluttered minds and the busy world we all live in. She says, "what made this book so powerful was the way it so clearly explained why these behaviours matter and how they affect the brain."

When we understand the science behind why we have habits, we are motivated to change. If you are someone struggling to exercise regularly, reduce your alcohol intake, improve your nutrition or create healthier routines for yourself, then this book is a worthy read.

Save this post for later, or share it with someone who would benefit from these tools and strategies. 🫶🏼

Michele & her mum, Bernie.

"Mum taught me the lighter side of life. To dance like no one is watching and really feel the rhythm of the music. She was always the first person on the dance floor, unashamedly, strutting her moves to any tune!

In hindsight, she was also the first person to introduce me to herbal medicine, with chamomile being the most revered herb in our household for any kind of ailment.
If I had a cold, chamomile tea was the treatment
If I had a headache, chamomile tea was the treatment
If I had a tummy ache, chamomile tea was the treatment
If I couldn't sleep, chamomile tea was the treatment
If I had anything, chamomile tea was the treatment!

Who knew chamomile had so many actions 😜, and it is still a herb I widely prescribe today, especially for children." 💌

PCOS finally has a new name! 🙌🏼

This has been described as a 'landmark moment' after more than a decade of campaigning from over 22,000 women, clinicians and researchers worldwide. PCOS is now officially called Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS)

The old name pointed to the ovaries and implied cysts. As naturopaths and integrative medicine clinicians, we frequently educate our patients around PCOS and how you do not need to have PCO to have PCOS and also how the ‘cysts’ commonly identified by ultrasound are not actually cysts!

PMOS is a complex, long-term hormonal and endocrine condition, and the new name finally reflects that. For the women who spent years being misunderstood by a diagnosis that didn't describe them, this matters.

Our clinic director and naturopath, Angela Hywood, has written about what this name change means, and more importantly, what it means for you. Whether you have a PMOS diagnosis, suspect you might, or are supporting someone who does, her piece in our journal covers the evidence-informed steps you can take today.

Head to our Journal (via the link in our bio) to read 'PMOS: Why the New Name Changes Everything'. 🫶🏼

This is Emily & her mum, Sue.

"Mum taught me that health care should be compassionate, collaborative, and deeply human.

Growing up, complementary + alternative medicine was always part of our lives, alongside conventional care – something that shaped the way I now practise as a naturopath myself. I’m passionate about working alongside other practitioners to support the whole person in the best way possible for them.

When Mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer when I was 19, it changed the course of my life. Watching her navigate treatment and recovery reinforced for me the importance of prevention, early intervention, and truly patient-centred care. It also played a huge role in inspiring my shift from the fashion industry into naturopathy.

I’m endlessly proud of her resilience, and so grateful for her + everything that her journey has taught me 🤍"

This is Lucy & her mum, Susie.

"Food is really the ultimate love language, and mum poured her love over us with her incredible homemade food. Nourishing dinners and homemade lunchbox treats, she taught us the importance of the food that we fuel our bodies with.

Being a mum now, I have a whole new appreciation of the effort and time it takes, but the reward is more than worth it.

It is definitely something I strive to pass on to my kids by igniting the passion for cooking good food and listening to your body.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, mother figures, and mothers no longer with us. And to my mum, thank you for all you continue to give to us." 💌

This is Zoë & her mum Verna.

"My Mum has taught me a lot of things, but what stands out the most to me is the importance of a good home-cooked meal! She has always been an ‘ingredients Mum’, the kind who cooked from scratch every night without making a fuss about it. That’s where my love of food and cooking came from. But more than the food itself, she taught me that sitting down together at the dining table, talking about your day, just being together, was the most important part. I am so lucky that she's my Mum!
