A great morning at Nerang State High School as they had a wellbeing expo. Parents, Teachers were all very interested in Somerville’s involvement with the community) and Kristina Gula able to assist the kids with Rotary Interact that is operating within the school to share ideas to assist community organisations through fundraising ideas.

Iconic India Day Fair - 15 August 2026

Martin Gomez and Amardeep Singh were proud to represent Somerville Funerals at the Iconic India Day Fair at Roma Street Parkland, celebrating India's Independence Day alongside the vibrant Indian Queensland community. Hosted by GOPIO Queensland, the event brought together community members, cultural organisations, and local leaders in a celebration of unity and diversity during Queensland Multicultural Month.

The day provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community, build meaningful relationships, and showcase Somerville Funerals' commitment to supporting multicultural communities. The event was attended by a distinguished lineup of guests, dignitaries, diplomatic representatives, and community leaders, making it a truly memorable occasion.

Dying to Know Day 2026

Somerville Funerals Nerang was proud to attend Dying to Know Day Gold Coast 2026 alongside Location Manager Kristina Gula and Pre-Paid Funeral Specialist Janet Sanewski.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with the local community, share information about end-of-life planning, and help people feel more informed and supported when planning ahead.

Somerville Funerals also donated 30 candles for the event’s art and craft activities, while Roses Only kindly contributed a beautiful Native Flower Chapel Bowl arrangement as a raffle prize.
