I’ve been practising Facilitated Breath Repatterning for almost three years now.

It’s changed the way I meet myself.

The way I meet shame.
The way I meet anger.
The way I meet joy.

And in doing so, it’s changed the way I meet others… and life.

1:1 & group sessions now available in Blue Mountains, Penrith & Cronulla.

2 months somehow melted into 14…

I remember my first trip to Bali almost 3 years ago. Admittedly, it wasn’t love at first sight. But I was here for a breathwork retreat where I experienced Facilitated Breath Repatterning for the very first time and something in me shifted immediately.

After that first journey, I knew I had to learn this work.

Something about it awakened a deep knowing and sense of purpose in me. I remember saying after that trip that I’d only ever return to Bali for breathwork.

When Chris died, I found myself in a collapse and grief so deep and disorienting that I knew the only way through was to be in circle, in community, to work closely with my teacher and to learn to embody these teachings.

I do not say lightly that this practice changed my life. In many ways, it saved it.

For the first time in my life, I didn’t feel alone in my pain. I experienced what it felt like to be deeply and skillfully held in it and gently guided through it.

Living on the land, being in the shala, sitting in circle multiple times a week, supporting others through their own journeys while breathing through my own, changed me profoundly. It gave deeper meaning to the challenging experiences I’ve lived through and showed me how those experiences could deepen the way I hold others.

There are no words adequate enough to express the gratitude I feel.

Thank you for your presence, your guidance and for sharing these teachings with such generosity and heart. Thank you for seeing me and supporting me through the hardest season of my life.

I feel deeply honoured to now carry these teachings back to Australia and share them with other humans.

Thank you Bali, for holding me through it all. Until next time 🫁💛

Recently, a client asked me if grieving the sudden death of a loved one gets easier.

And here’s what I know to be true for me…

The weight of the grief doesn’t lessen. The enormity of the void remains the same.

Years later, there are still moments that take my breath away and bring me to my knees in tears.

And yet, day by day, I still experience moments of love, beauty, and joy. I collect these like precious little treasures to cherish.

Slowly, over time, the collection grows. I place them around the grief. An offering. A remembering. A way of honouring that while he died, I am still here choosing to live the way I know he’d want me to.

Eventually, the offerings become bigger than the grief itself, making it a little easier to carry.

For me, grief doesn’t go anywhere, nor do I expect it to.

Grief stays because love never left.

Hey humans!

Thought I’d take a moment to reintroduce myself to all the new people here. It’s been a while.

I’m Alex. While I hold many roles in life, sister, daughter, auntie, friend, human doing her best, I’m here to share more about my journey and work as an FBR Breathwork Practitioner.

I found FBR (Facilitated Breath Repatterning), or maybe it found me, almost 3 years ago. It’s become one of the most powerful ways I’ve learned to work with myself, and with others.

Life inherently comes with challenge. Grief, loss, change, uncertainty, pain. Regularly engaging in FBR has helped me develop a deep trust in myself and my capacity to stay open to life, even in difficult seasons. It’s helped me remember that good days are still ahead of me.

This work has transformed the way I relate to myself and others. I’m more able to stay connected to myself whilst being with others. I’m reclaiming my voice, little by little. I’m finding a quiet confidence I once thought was out of reach. I’m more present. More embodied. More able to stay with myself through big emotions and experiences.

Sharing this work in both 1:1 and group spaces feels incredibly meaningful to me. It’s an honour to witness people soften, reconnect with themselves, and discover new ways of relating to their inner world.

I’m excited to share more with you soon 💛

Have you experienced FBR before? I’d love to hear about your experience below 👇🏼

I remember sitting in circle for the first time, the absolute panic gripping me at the thought of speaking into a space full of strangers. How scared I was of being seen & heard. When the talking stick came to me - passed around to signal whose turn it is to share - there was a distinct trembling in my voice, shaking in my hands, the strongest desire to pass it along without uttering a word. Not because I had nothing to say, but because I had not yet met the part of myself that was brave enough to express it.

This is an ongoing journey for me. Breathwork has opened the way for me to share authentically with others, to share parts of myself & this human experience that don’t always feel welcome outside of these spaces.

Sitting in circle or in 1:1 sessions didn’t give me a voice - it helped me remember that I’ve had one all along. It’s supported me in finding the courage to use it, in learning that I can feel the shake in my voice or the tightness in my throat & speak up anyway. It’s reminded me that my voice is sacred, that sharing in safe spaces is medicine, not only for me but for the world. That speaking even softly carries its own power. It’s given me the range to explore both ends of the spectrum.

Breathwork is an ongoing practice, helping me find more layers & depths to my voice. I believe it can offer the same to you too.

Before I found Breathwork I remember how it felt to be in my body, the almost daily experience of utter overwhelm in my system that felt both like it was going 100 miles an hour & completely frozen. The disconnect, not being able to fully feel myself for fear of what I’d find.

Balancing my nervous system didn’t come all at once. It’s been hundreds of tiny moments of being held & met in breath. Expanding my capacity to be with discomfort, never forcing, just allowing space for whatever was ready to unfold in my system.

And to be completely transparent, this is an ongoing journey. I genuinely believe there won’t be a point where I’m ‘done’ with Breathwork - not because I’m some kind of broken endless project, but because I’m unfailingly human.

Because life continues on & with that there will be challenges I’ll need to meet. A regular Breathwork practice allows me to continue to meet these challenges with more grace for myself, for others & offers me the opportunity to grow from them.

Breathwork has given me the gift of possibility. Possibility that life can get better, that it can feel good to be in my body, that it can feel good to be me, that I can feel safe in this world that was once viewed as a landscape of threats.

This practice continues to hold me, all of me. I believe it can do the same for you too.

FBR is deeply relational work.

So much of our hurt happens in relationship - with others, with ourselves, with the world around us.

And integrating these hurts often needs to happen in relationship too.

In FBR, you’re not alone in your process. As you breathe, I’m tracking with you - reading the cues of your body, meeting your nervous system where it’s at instead of chasing big releases & offering support where it’s needed.

This creates the possibility for something powerful: relational repair. Your system gets to experience being fully seen, held & met while moving through what’s been stored.
Sometimes that means venturing with you into grief, sorrow, or rage. Other times it’s finding lightness together - sharing a chuckle, touching into love, joy & deep peace.

FBR supports your nervous system to deeply be with & move through each state without becoming it.

To feel it all, without being consumed by it.
To remember you can hold the fullness of your humanness - and be held in it too.
