Sally Blackburn-Smith (Clinical Psychology Registrar) 👋
Sally is an empathic and skilled psychologist with experience supporting adolescents and adults across both public and private settings. Her clinical work is driven by her passion for helping clients understand their life story, improve relationships, and navigate challenges related to trauma, identity, sexuality, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, and self-compassion.
Sally has a particular interest in working with individuals in their 20s and 30s, focusing on developmental healing and supporting them to make sense of how their childhood experiences inform their adult lives. She is dedicated to creating a warm, collaborative, and validating therapeutic environment where clients feel deeply seen, supported, and empowered.
Grounded in evidence-based practice, Sally’s therapeutic approach integrates Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy. Her work is guided by a compassionate, trauma-informed lens, with each intervention tailored to her clients' unique needs. In addition to therapy, Sally offers comprehensive, individualised, and affirming psychological assessments.
