It was a pleasure to present at the Section of Perinatal and Infant Psychiatry Conference this week on 'Strengths and challenges of autism and ADHD in pregnancy and parenting'. Many psychiatrists approached me afterwards and were keen to continue the conversation around neurodiversity affirming practices, using identity first language, and recognising the strengths of autistic, ADHDer and AuDHDer clients, overcoming stigma, as well as supports and accommodations that can be helpful.
