✨ Meet Dr Savannah Morrison, our newest gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Beechnut Medical Rooms.

Dr Morrison is a Staff Specialist at John Hunter Hospital, with advanced training and fellowships in interventional endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound.

She has special interests in pancreatology, endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease and hepatology, and brings a warm, patient-centred approach to her care.

Dr Morrison is now accepting new referrals and will also be consulting monthly in Nelson Bay.

We’re so excited to have her join the Beechnut team 🤍💚🤍

Living with Type 2 Diabetes? It’s important to think about your liver health, too.

Many people are unaware that Type 2 Diabetes is associated with an increased risk of developing fatty liver disease, which often has no symptoms in its early stages.

Because liver disease can develop quietly, it's worth having a conversation with your GP about your liver health, especially if you have risk factors.

If you're concerned about your liver health, speak with your GP about whether further assessment, including a FibroScan, may be appropriate for you.
