Jacks Irish Society Newcastle NSW Our mission is to Connect, Educate and Celebrate. The Jack Murphy Memorial Society Connects, Educates and Celebrates.

Jack's Irish Society serves as a hub for the Irish Community in Newcastle & Hunter region.The Society was set up in memory of Jack Murphy a proud Irish boy who passed away at 14 from Sudden Cardiac Death. Jack's memorial society exists to bring the Irish Community together in Jack’s adopted home, to celebrate Jack’s Irish identity and to raise awareness of, and research funds to combat, Sudden Car

diac Death. We achieve these goals through a combination of
(1) Irish Cultural Events – celebrating an identity and connecting a community of which Jack was extremely proud
(2) Scooter Events for young sports people; a sport in which Jack excelled;
(3) Educational events in the school communities of which Jack was a celebrated member and finally, through a formal dinner dance fund raiser for the Irish community and friends with Irish medical expert speakers on Sudden Cardiac Death.
