Controversial but I had to say something.

This statement is whats going wrong in this "quick fix" world we are in.

Now I get it, some days I do everything perfect and just breathing air hurts my body, BUT, what i put into my body does help me or it can hinder me.

Do you suffer with;
๐Ÿ’› bloating
๐Ÿ’› chronic inflammation
๐Ÿ’› body aches
๐Ÿ’› pain while going toilet releasing stool and urine

Then you need to help your body release some of the internal pressure.

Since on GAPS i have been able to relieve
๐Ÿ’› internal pressure so I can go to the toilet without pain
๐Ÿ’› reduce ovulation pain
๐Ÿ’› reduced belly swelling
๐Ÿ’› lower inflammation

Im.doing things like
๐Ÿ’› drinking 2- 3 cups meat broth a day
๐Ÿ’› enemas these are a game changer
๐Ÿ’› hot Epsom salt Baths - this has reduced the night sweets
๐Ÿ’› lymphatic drainage

So this kind of post just increases the stress around what we can do to help ourselves with a disease that just doesn't stop.
Yes you cant heal it, but you can at least help yourself.

Breathing is one of the most overlooked tools when it comes to movement and strength. ๐Ÿƒ

When you breathe shallow, your body stays in a heightened state, and that affects how you move, recover, and feel.

Simple techniques like box breathing and lateral breathing can completely shift that.

They improve oxygen flow.
Support your core.
Help your body move from a place of calm.

The double chin!!!!!

If you're at a fancy pants pilates studio in the city, the cue they will use is; "lengthen the back of your neck!".

But I the Pilbara, ill get you to show me your best double chin!

Why?

Well, you do it yourself.
Sit down, with your back straight and pay attention to the front of your neck.
Now do a double chin.

You'll feel the back of your neck lengthen, and chin tucks slightly and your neck moves back a fraction.
This action gets the deep neck flexors working.

Now this group of muscles (deep neck flexors) are designed for this tiny, minute action, but when did you do this action last? Normally you have your head forward hanging over a screen half the time.

So do yourself a little favour and do some double chins. You can do them at the desk in your office, in the toilet, driving the car. You dont need equipment all you have to do is get those chins out, see how long you can keep them there and strengthen that neck of yours!!!

It teaches you to override your body instead of understanding it.

And when that happens, your system doesnโ€™t build strength, it protects itself.
Thatโ€™s why pushing harder doesnโ€™t always get you better results.

When your body feels supported and safe, everything changes.
You move with more control.
You build strength that actually lasts.
You feel more confident in how your body responds.
