Meet Leigh (she/her) 🍋

Leigh has availability for in-home supports!

Leigh has a Certificate III in Individual Support and 5 years of experience as a family carer. She gives encouraging, consistent support that helps people reach their goals and feel valued, right where they feel most at home.

She’s a big AFL fan and loves arts and crafts, and she’s always happy to bring some creativity into the day 🎨

Meet Gideon (he/him) 🍋

Gideon has availability in Southern Adelaide and is looking to welcome new people to his week!

Gideon has 3+ years in the support industry, a Certificate III in Individual Support and a Bachelor of Education. He has also trained in RRHAN-EC and Complex Bowel Care. His background supporting high school students of mixed abilities means he brings a calm, adaptable approach and works at your pace.

Gideon is guided by empathy and respect and loves supporting people to build independence, purpose and joy. Outside of work, he enjoys volunteering, reading and time in nature 🌿

Meet Stella (she/her) 🍋 Stella has availability in Northern Adelaide and would love to meet new people!

She has 3 years of support work experience and a Certificate III in Individual Support. Her approach is warm, patient and person-centred, so people feel confident and in control of their everyday lives. Stella loves cooking and uses it to build everyday life skills. She’s originally from Mauritius, speaks English and French, and loves connecting with people from all cultures.

Outside of work, you’ll find her dancing, at the beach or watching soccer ⚽

🍋 Did you know? Seasons can shift our symptoms 🍋

Spring brings longer days, but it can also bring some changes we don’t always expect:

☀️ Weather shifts: changes in air pressure, humidity and temperature can increase pain for some people.
🔋 Energy drops: shorter or longer days, heat or cold can affect sleep, mood and energy.
😴 Sleep: daylight saving can disrupt sleep for a week or more, which can make mood and energy harder to manage.
🌸 Hay fever: spring pollen can trigger hay fever and asthma flare-ups, especially on windy or stormy days.

If your body feels slower lately, you aren’t lazy. Your system is working overtime to adjust.

Be kind to yourself and to others this season. Rest when you need to, adjust your routines, and reach out to your support team if things feel harder than usual. 💙
