One year ago today, we opened our doors at Suite 4, Noosa Central, 6 Bottlebrush Ave — and what a year it's been.

Since then, we've grown to include our dedicated fracture clinic, physiotherapy, and host onsite hand therapy — all under one roof. Thank you to every patient who trusted us with their care, and to the GPs, allied health partners, and local businesses who've supported us along the way.

Meet the Team!

Bree is a qualified General Practitioner who consults patients within our Fracture Clinic — you'll see her in clinic on Thursdays.

She graduated from Monash University in 2014, before returning to the Sunshine Coast to work across Nambour General Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Hospital and surrounding hospitals, including three years as an Orthopaedic Registrar.

Outside of work, Bree enjoys spending time caring for her horses with her young family.

We're so grateful to have Bree on the team — her kind nature and strong interest in orthopaedics bring real value to every patient she sees.

Get to know the team!

Say hello to Irene, RN and Nurse Practitioner candidate at Balance Orthopaedics!

Irene began her nursing career as a scrub nurse in the Philippines, later gaining advanced surgical experience in Newcastle, before relocating to Noosa in 2022 for a better work-life balance. Since then, she's completed her Master of Clinical Nursing in Perioperative care and a Diploma in Perioperative Nurse Surgical Assisting, and is now studying towards her Master of Nurse Practitioner.

Irene works alongside Dr Mark Robinson in both clinic and theatre, playing an essential role in supporting our patients every step of the way.

Outside the clinic, you'll find Irene at the beach with her family — she's also a keen windsurfer!

Same little patient, two very different casts!

➡️ Before: A traditional Plaster Of Paris cast reinforced with fibreglass — bulky and heavy on such a little arm.
➡️ After: A lightweight, waterproof cast — same protection, a fraction of the weight. Bigger doesn't always mean better!

Bath time (or a swim in the pool) is no longer off-limits, and day-to-day life is so much easier for our younger patients. 💙
