PEG feeding. IDC and stoma care. Complex bowel care. Diabetes and medication support. Dysphagia and seizure management.

These fall under NDIS Practice Standards Module 1 — High-Intensity Daily Personal Activities. That means your workers need to be appropriately skilled, with clinical oversight in place, and auditors will expect to see the evidence.

I deliver this training on-site, tailored to your clients' actual care needs, as a Critical Care Nurse and Educator with 30+ years in nursing and education.

Appreciation post 🥰

A big thank you to Graham, Kade and the wonderful team at Bob Jane in Noosa for always providing that good old-fashioned service. ❤️

These guys continue to support me, my family and our businesses, making sure our vehicles are safe, roadworthy and back on the road in no time.

It’s not often these days that you find a team who genuinely goes out of their way to help. The service, knowledge and care they provide is always exceptional.

Thanks again, guys — we really appreciate you! 🙌🏼 small business supporting small business ❤️

Medical Emergencies in the Dental Practice: training designed for the chair, not the classroom.

I work with dozens of practices across the Sunshine Coast to build teams that can recognise and respond to a medical emergency mid-procedure — under real time pressure, with real equipment.

For practices offering procedural sedation, this is essential rather than optional. Sedation elevates the risk of airway, cardiac and allergic events, and demands a faster, more confident response than standard first aid training provides.

If your practice's emergency readiness hasn't been reviewed in the past 12 months — or your services have changed since it was — now is the time.

Anaphylaxis is scary. That's exactly why you need to know the steps before you're in it.

1. Lay them flat. Even if they're upset and want to sit up or stand — flat is safer. If they're struggling to breathe, let them sit with legs out straight instead.

2. If in doubt, give an adrenaline autoinjector or nasal spray device. Don't wait to see if it gets worse. Severe, sudden symptoms — especially wheezing or persistent coughing — mean give it now.

3. Call 000 straight away. Anaphylaxis needs an ambulance, every time, even if the child seems to improve.

4. No real improvement after 5 minutes? A second dose can be given.

5. If they stop responding or stop breathing normally, start CPR.

Every child who's had adrenaline needs to go to hospital afterward, for at least 4 hours of observation — even if they look fine.

A caption can tell you the steps. Training is what makes sure you can actually do them, under pressure, the first time it's real. That's what I teach.

Quick one for the practice owners and managers scrolling past: if someone collapsed in your waiting room right now, how many of your team would know exactly what to do — not "call an ambulance," but what to do in the first 60 seconds?

Most practices have "Organise Emergency Training" on their to do list. Lets move beyond and get you booked in!

This is what "practice-ready" looks like: surgeons, nurses and reception at Sunshine Coast Oral, Facial & Implant Specialists, all confident and current in first aid and CPR — because a medical emergency doesn't wait for the right person to be on shift.

Specialist practices choose Queen of Hearts Training because 30+ years in ICU means I train for the moments that actually happen in a clinic, not a generic classroom scenario.

Is your team as ready as this one? Let's find out. [email protected] | 0415 115 500

It was an honour to be part of the final preparations for the new Noosa Day Hospital.

Before the doors open, it’s about more than ticking compliance boxes—it’s making sure every member of the team is confident and prepared to respond when a real medical emergency happens.

A huge thank you to Stephanie and Lisa for inviting me to train your incredible team. I’m excited to follow the journey of this beautiful new facility.

If you’re a Noosa or Sunshine Coast business looking for an experienced critical care nurse to deliver realistic, onsite medical emergency training, let’s talk. Your team deserves more than compliant—they deserve to be prepared.

How exciting! 😁

Sunshine Coast business owners — when was the last time your team practised handling a real emergency?

I bring the training to your workplace, so your staff learn with the equipment, layout and scenarios they actually face every day.

As a Critical Care Nurse, I’ve trained more than 2,000 locals across dental practices, construction, childcare, NDIS providers and small businesses. My goal is simple: give your team the confidence to step in when it matters most.

The Queen of Hearts difference:

* Critical Care Nurse-led onsite training
* 2,000+ students trained
* 300+ five-star Google reviews
* 90+ Sunshine Coast businesses supported

Less time away from work. More relevant training. Skills your team will actually remember.
