Today was my first walk heading toward 60km in the month of August, fundraising for Jeans for Genes Australia as part of the North Geelong Medical Clinic team. The day started with a chilly frost, but the afternoon sunshine was delightful!

Today I learned that one of the conditions the Children's Medical Research Institute has worked on is rubella, with the congenital defects caused by this illness now prevented through vaccination.
