Today we celebrate the ophthalmologists and eye care teams whose expertise helps protect and restore one of our most precious senses – sight.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Goutham Sivasuthan to North Lakes Day Hospital, part of the Nexus Hospitals network. 👋

Dr Sivasuthan is a highly skilled Australian-trained General and Endoscopic Surgeon with specialist expertise in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and advanced endoscopic procedures.

His training and clinical background includes:
🔹 Double degree in Medicine and Biomedical Science from the University of Queensland
🔹 Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS)
🔹 Accreditation with the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) as an endoscopist and colonoscopist

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Sivasuthan is actively involved in medical education and research, supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals across Australia and New Zealand.
