A shared reflection from one of our Management team members today:
"... something our CEO Michael said recently in a meeting that really resonated with me and thought I would share: "If not me, then who?"...I've found myself thinking about those words quite a bit...as disability support workers, you make a difference every single day. You are often the person who notices when something isn't right, who advocates for a participant, who offers encouragement when someone is struggling, or who takes that extra step to help someone achieve their goals...it can be easy to think someone else will do it, report it, follow up on it, or speak up. But what if everyone thought that way? If not me, then who?....💭💭💭
Those four words remind us that leadership isn't about a title—it's about taking ownership, showing initiative, and doing the right thing even when nobody is watching.
Every interaction matters.🩵 Every act of kindness matters. 🩵Every time we step up for a participant or support a teammate, we are making a real impact.🩵 Let's continue to challenge ourselves to be proactive, accountable, and committed to providing the best support possible...🩵💭💭💭 because sometimes the person who can make the biggest difference is the one looking back at us in the mirror."~K.P
